Stronger Together: Reflections from the 47th PNAA National Convention in Colorado Springs
Every national convention is an opportunity to learn, reconnect, and grow—and this year's 47th PNAA National Convention in Colorado Springs was no exception. From inspiring educational sessions to unforgettable moments of fellowship, our PNAGA delegation returned home energized and ready to continue serving our members and communities.
Reconnecting with Our Nursing Family
One of the most rewarding parts of the convention was reconnecting with colleagues from PNAA chapters across the United States. Whether meeting first-time attendees or longtime friends, every conversation reinforced the strength of our national nursing community.
We were especially honored to spend time with PNAA past presidents whose leadership continues to inspire future generations. Their unwavering commitment reminds us that service does not end with a term in office—it continues through mentorship, advocacy, and a lasting dedication to the profession. We also had the opportunity to engage with national committee chairs, board members, and chapter leaders whose collaborative efforts continue to move PNAA forward.
Learning from Inspiring Leaders
Leadership Day and Education Day featured outstanding speakers who challenged us to think boldly about the future of nursing. Sessions highlighted leadership development, professional growth, advocacy, innovation, and the evolving role of nurses in shaping healthcare.
Celebrating Culture and Camaraderie
While professional development was at the heart of the convention, there was also plenty of time to celebrate the friendships and traditions that make PNAA so special.
The Welcome Night set the stage for a week filled with laughter and meaningful connections, while the spirited Laro by Lahi games showcased Filipino culture through teamwork, friendly competition, and shared joy. These moments reminded us that our heritage and our profession go hand in hand, creating bonds that extend far beyond the conference.
Honoring Excellence
The Gala and Awards Night was a fitting celebration of the remarkable accomplishments of members across the country. Recognizing excellence and service is an important reminder of the impact our organization makes every day.
Looking Ahead
As one chapter closes, another begins. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly inducted PNAA National Officers for the 2026–2028 term. We look forward to supporting their vision and working together to strengthen our profession, empower Filipino nurses, and advance the mission of PNAA.
To PNAA, PNACO, and everyone who helped make this convention such a memorable experience, thank you. We return to Georgia inspired by the connections we made, the knowledge we gained, and the shared commitment to nursing leadership and service.
Here's to continuing the journey together with Passion, Purpose, and Pride.
